Compared to the Osrams, the BMP style leans towards the OE LP and is more substantial with more bright elements and a better contrast between black and bright elements. These seem like a good, viable alternative to the Osram LEDrivings (which I have). Picture below for reference of where the adjustment points are: ![]() Not sure if it was just my pair of headlights, but figured I'd make mention of it. Just be aware that when I made the Left/Right adjustment, I had to redo my Up/Down adjustment. The Left/Right can actually be reached with a long Philips head screwdriver within the engine bay after install. Would not suggest pliers as it is soft plastic and you can definitely round off the edges. If you have a 5mm wrench, or a slim socket, those would work the best. When installed, the driver side has very little space to insert a socket for adjustments (because of the fuse box). So figured I'd give more clarification for anyone else in the future.įor the adjustments of Up/Down and Left/Right, I made sure I found the adjustment points for both low and high beam on my version before installing.įor the low beams: the Up/Down uses a 5mm socket/wrench to adjust. So plugging it in after the headlights are installed is a bit of pain in the ass.Īdjustments: this is where I saw people have little info on. The plug on these headlights is closer to the bottom of the headlight compared to the original and gets slightly tucked away. When installing, at least on my version, make sure to plug the headlight in before bolting the headlight down. I was able to pull the wiring mostly out, reorganize and ziptie some pieces, and reinsert the wiring so it wouldn't block the cooling fans for the LED drivers. But, they are both the same color temp, so they match (as well as match the LED strip temp).Īlso, the wiring inside the headlights is a mess like the previous reviewer stated. Unlike the previous review, both my low beams and high beams are both LED with drivers. ![]() You will have to re-use 2 clips from your original headlights, as well as the front spacer screw onto the new headlights. If you haven't done this before, there are videos and instructions on youtube and the interwebz that are out there that explain how to remove your bumper and to remove your headlights. Also, didn't come with instructions for install, but I had already taken out my headlights prior, so knew what I was doing. Install: Just like the previous review, had to hold the headlights in place when installing so they don't shift when bolting them in. was looking for an alternative without having to recode my car. Also the cutoff was good, but the hot spot wasn't in the best place (for some reason was to the left of the cutoff on both sides). I had gotten Ed Reps on my previous Mk6 Golf, but wasn't happy with the quality: lenses clear coat started peeling after a year. ![]() Had DeAutoLED HID kit in my reflectors re-aimed to not cause glare or blind, but just like the previous review, knew the beam pattern and spread could be better.
